Tyler grew up in Virginia Beach and attended the University of Virginia, where he double-majored in history and classical languages with a focus in Latin. While in school, Tyler studied abroad at the University of Oxford, the start of a lifelong passion for travel. After college, Tyler worked as a lease administrator for Dollar Tree, Inc. before heading west in 2013 to attend law school at the University of Colorado. During law school, Tyler served as President of the Construction and Real Estate Law Association, attended the school’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, and worked for firms specializing in real estate litigation and corporate law.

After graduating in 2016, Tyler worked as an associate attorney for Professional Finance Company, Inc., specializing in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act compliance and litigation. Tyler joined the Colorado Creditor Bar Association in February 2018 and was elected Secretary in April 2018.

Tyler joined Murr Siler & Accomazzo, P.C. in August 2019, where he brought Fair Debt Collection Practices Act knowledge to the firm and expanded his practice to include commercial litigation, mortgage servicer defense, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant law, and foreclosures. Tyler has presented a CLE on foreclosure law in Colorado and recently co-authored a successful Brief in Opposition to Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the Supreme Court of the United States, preserving the dismissal of a debtor’s bankruptcy for failure to pay all of her mortgage payments timely as required under her Chapter 13 plan.

At Baker Law Group, PLLC, Tyler specializes in litigation involving real estate, breach of contract, landlord-tenant law, foreclosures, and related areas.

Outside of practicing law, Tyler enjoys running, traveling, hiking, camping, geocaching, playing bass guitar, attending concerts, playing tennis, watching sports, and returning to his hometown for sun and surfing in the summer.

Dillon is an experienced litigator with extensive knowledge of transactional matters.  He has litigated at various levels, from a billion-dollar construction defect matter to landlord-tenant disputes.  He is adept at counseling his clients through legal processes while maintaining expectations and passionately advocating for them.  His strategy has been honed through work at multiple boutiques and sophisticated practices, where he was mentored on trial strategy and discovery processes, creating creative legal arguments, leveraging procedural rules, and maximizing clients’ damages claims.

He has transactional and litigation experience in the areas of construction defect, real estate, business disputes, contract drafting, interpretation, and disputes, probate, trusts, wills, and estates, landlord-tenant, water law, property development, HOAs, and more.

His notable achievements include work on the Colorado Capitol Dome remodel, the Denver International Airport remodel, an eight-figure mechanic’s lien matter, and multiple seven-figure construction defect matters.

Dillon was educated at Washington and Lee University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  He then attended Washington University St. Louis School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree.  He was admitted to practice law in Colorado in 2013.  While practicing law, he obtained the Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online, which included studying the practical aspects of business to understand his corporate client’s needs better. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, camping, fishing, and hiking 14ers (16 and counting).
